Saving from Instagram
Save places from Instagram Reels straight to a map
Instagram Collections are folders of posts, and the Instagram travel spots inside them stay buried there. They can't tell you what's near you, what's open now, or which of your 300 saves are in the city you just landed in. Pospot pulls the place out of the Reel and puts it on a map.
How to save a place from Instagram to a map
1
Open the Reel or photo post
Any public Reel, photo post or carousel that shows a place.
2
Share it to Pospot
On iPhone, tap Share and pick Save to Pospot. Anywhere else, copy the link and paste it into Pospot.
3
Let Pospot find the place
Pospot reads the caption, the location tag, tagged accounts and the video or slides, then matches the venue on the map.
4
See it pinned on your map
Name, address, rating, hours, photos and a link back to the post, ready when you travel.
Instagram Collections are folders, not maps
A Collection named "Paris" is still a pile of posts. It has no map, no distances and no opening hours, and it can't show you the three saves that are around the corner right now.
The step nobody wants to do
To use a saved Reel you have to open it, read the caption, find the venue name and search for it somewhere else. On the day, hungry and on bad signal, nobody does that.
Pospot does it once, when you save. A lot of places are posted by the venue's own account, and the account name is the business name - Pospot uses that, the tagged accounts and the location tag, so posts with a vague caption still land on the right spot.
Works alongside your TikTok saves
Reels, TikToks, YouTube videos and web pages all land on the same map. Make a list for the trip and every saved place for it sits together, whichever app you found it in.
"Top 10 brunch spots" posts become ten pins from one link.
Common questions
Can I save an Instagram Reel to Google Maps?
Not directly. Google Maps can't open a Reel. Pospot reads the Reel, finds the place and pins it, and each pin opens in Google Maps with one tap.
What if the post has no location tag?
Pospot also reads the caption, the account name, tagged accounts and the video or slides. Pins it's unsure about get a Verify badge.
Where are my saved Reels on Instagram?
Profile, then the menu, then Saved. They're grouped by Collection, not by place - share the travel ones to Pospot to see them on a map.
Can I share the map with friends?
Yes. Share a list so friends can add to it, or publish your map as a read-only link anyone can open without an account.
Does it work with private accounts?
No. Pospot needs a public post. Private, deleted or login-only posts can't be read, and a failed pin doesn't cost you a credit.
